About Axbridge Singers

History

The choir was formed in February 2005, founded by current member Roger Parker. Beginning as a small living-room gathering, the choir quickly grew in size and for a number of years was kindly accommodated by Patricia and Robert Tallack at Compton House.

In 2008 the continued increase in membership led the choir to a further move, to our current home in St. John's Church, Axbridge Square.

There are now over 50 singers in the choir, from Cheddar, Winscombe, Churchill, Weston-Super-Mare and Wells as well as from Axbridge.

Recordings

In 2009, the choir recorded a CD to raise funds towards the 2010 Axbridge Pageant. Copies are still available (£5) from the choir - see the Contact Us page.
